From the Pastor
A major challenge for the church is to believe in the extra-ordinary acts of God throughout history. A greater challenge still is to allow these acts of God in history to effectively influence the way we live.
We have recently celebrated Easter. For Christians this means to affirm the reality of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Out of the ordinary? You bet. Yet this mighty act of God many years ago is central to our faith and life. We were not there to see Jesus restored to life, but the same power that brought about that mighty feat is present with the church today to fulfill God's purposes. Let us faithfully be doing God's will. Jesus, the Christ, is alive. Let us live as our risen Lord would have us.

George

VBS and YOUTH NEWS
We still need leaders for "Sing and Play" and "Hyperspeed Games" sessions. In addition to these two vital roles, we also need people willing to serve as "Crew leaders".
Please plan to attend a brief meeting this Sunday following worship. If you are unable to attend, please contact Machaelle and discuss with her the various opportunities available.

Our youth had a great time at the "Spring Break" parties. We had 14 K-5th grade youth on Tuesday and 19 middle and high school youth on Wednesday. They played several games, ate pizza and enjoyed the fellowship.
PROPERTY
Every year we ask for volunteers to help with the yard work. It is that time again and we have a few who have volunteered every year, but will be unable to help this year.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Please look at the sign-up sheet in the entryway and sign up for "mowing" and/or "adopting church property". If you have any questions please talk with Jim Holmes, Property Chairman.

Easter Fun Day
We had so much fun Saturday morning! There were 27 children, fifth grade and younger, participating in seven centers set up in the sanctuary. They made "bunny" things, iced and decorated a cupcake to eat during lunch, colored an Easter cross, made a bunny visor and decorated a small cross. Three high school and five middle school youth were in charge of three centers, seven other youth hid eggs outside and helped children with the craft activities. After the children finished their craft items, they had fun looking for eggs around the church. They met back in the church for a circle prayer before eating lunch. There were 91 children and adults joining us for the meal. It was a wonderful day!
Thanks to so many adults for helping put together this memorable day. Bless you all!!
A special thanks to all the adults and youth for cleaning the sanctuary and putting it back together for service Sunday morning.
