| FROM THE PASTOR |
Dear Church Family,
We have had a great time in the “Experiencing God” Bible Study
group. Knowing and doing the will of God is something we all seem to
gloss over at times. Henry Blackaby and his son Richard stroll through
the seven phases of Experiencing God.
1.God is always at work around you.
2.God pursues a love relationship with you that is real and personal.
3.God invites you to become involved in his work.
4.God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal His purposes and His ways.
5.God’s invitation for you to work with Him in His work always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action.
6.You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.
7.You come to know God by experience as you obey Him, and He accomplishes His work through you.
I will be leading another group as soon as we return from Mexico in
July. Please consider taking the course. The next course will be
offered anywhere and at anytime; homes, workplaces, schools or offices,
it does not matter. Ask someone taking the course if it has not had an
incredible impact on them.

Mission Trip
Do you realize there are only six more weeks until the Mission Trip
to Mexico? The Cookies for a Cause for June and July is to provide
personal hygiene items to take to the children and women in Mexico. The
totes and bags for them have already been provided. You can help by
bringing any of the following items; wash cloths, wide tooth combs,
hair ties, small toys, travel size soap/shampoo. Your items may be put
in the baskets in the entryway. We would like to take 250 bags filled
with items for the children and 30 totes filled with items for women.
Family Fun Night
Join us at the church on Saturday, June 12 at 6:00 p.m. for Family
Fun Night. We always have so much fun playing games, enjoying each
other’s company and sharing our favorite foods. Bring a salad, some
sandwiches or your favorite dish to share with others. Following dinner
we play board games, cards, or dominos. If you have a favorite game you
play at home, bring it. See you then.
Pops for Pop
Join us this year as we celebrate our fathers with a cookout at the
church on Father’s Day Sunday, June 20 at 5:00 p.m. Bring a side dish,
lawn chairs and a good appetite. We provide everything else. This is a
great opportunity to visit with others in the congregation and their
families. We will eat in front of the church where there is lots of
shade. If it rains, we will eat inside. If you and your family are
coming, please sign the paper at the back of the sanctuary so we will
know how much meat to buy. Don’t forget! Sunday, June 20th, 5:00 p.m.
at FCC.
Church World Services
Just a note to thank you for the generous donations you gave to the
BLANKET+ program. We sent a check last week to CWS for $206.59. We
know this money will help many families. Many blessings to you, Church
